Brindy's Birthday 2008

We starteded the day running in our first 5k run.

We both enjoyed it emmensely! It was a very cold day mostly because of the wind that was blowing so hard. Chris sacrafice a better time to stay back and walk with Brindy for little while because she was cramping up. This won't be our last and we want to eventually work up to marathons and stuff...and we will, just watch, we'll be famous one day! :)

Hey and we got T-Shirts. That's always a plus.

Then after doing some work on our taxes.. : ( ...

We got ready and went out to eat with Justin, Brindy's brother his wife Jenny. We had won a lipsync contest together online so we were splitting the cash prize on a double date! It was so much fun. We had a wonderful time. We went to Tucanos Brazilian Grill. It was delicious. Chris told the waiters that it was Brindy's birthday and they made her stand up as they marched out with a big drum and sang to her. It was pretty funny to see her face light up like a beet. She was happy about her free ice cream!

At Tucanos, you pay per person and then you can order different things, but the main thing that most people get is the buffet with unlimited meat selection! It is so fun. There is a buffet with all different salads and fruit and pastas. Then there is a little cylinder block on each table that is painted red on one end, yellow in the middle, and green on the other end. When you would like them to serve you meat, the block is flipped so the green end is up and then flipped to the red after you would like them to stop or you need a break from the meat. When I say they serve you meat, it is delicious! These waitors come around to the tables with kabobs with grilled meats. Some kabobs would have brown sugar pork, others with top sirloin, some with barbeque chicken, teryaki beef and so on. They just scoop some of it off onto your plate. They also served grilled pineapple, which was incredible. That was Brindy's favorite. They also had some fried bananas that were pretty good. You can tell we don't go out very often or else we wouldn't be talking about this place in such detail...but it was a pretty cool thing for us! :)

We then went miniature golfing at Trafalga. It was an amusing time. We all laughed a lot because we were having so much fun. We got to play a little air hockey (Brindy won..by the way. Chris let her just because it was her birthday....ok, that's not true, Brindy won!) We did the course inside because it was so cold and windy outside, but then when we finished the course inside, we wanted to keep playing so we went outside any way and did that course too.

Chris got a "Hole in One..."

...Brindy got two! :)
