Easter Sunday Picnic

Easter Sunday after Church.

Chris just got a new suit and it looks great! It was a beautiful day, there was a pretty chilly breeze, but other than that it was a perfect day.

We had a blast playing at the park. It's too bad that there weren't any blossums or leaves on any of the trees yet. We had some chicken sandwiches and asparagus! It made Brindy think of picking it off the sides of the road in Idaho. We both thought it was very yummy! Brindy made some really good brownies and we also had some apples and dip. What a fun day for the two of us! We read about the Atonement, Crucifixion, and the Resurrection too. It is such a wonderful thing that we have history and records of these incredible events. We are very grateful to our Savior for providing that path that we might have a trail to follow. Chris taught a very good lesson in Sunday School about following Jesus Christ. We love our Heavenly Father for giving his only Begotten Son to the pains and suffering of our sins so that we can all come back into his presence. The plan of Happiness is real and we are doing our best to succeed in this journey along that path that Jesus Christ blazed for us.
(Look Garrett, Chris is Eating a SNAKE!!! EWWW!!)

We were able to cover for the couple that works with the Village on the weekends because they wanted to go home to their families for Easter. So we had a fun Easter Egg hunt with the Villagers. These are all of them with their bags full of candy and eggs. It was a good time. After the Hunt we went inside and played a bunch of Party games which were a lot of fun for everyone.

These are some of our greatest friends. We love our job and we love these people. We have a very special opportunity to be their friends and to work with them daily. Kauri Sue, pictured on top left took our pictures after church for us and so then wanted a picture of her own.

This is Amanda and she is the sweetest and happiest and most peaceful person we have ever met. She keeps us remembering that life is good and she keeps a smile on our faces.

And this is Lynette. She makes us laugh because she acts so tough, but we all know her bark is worse than her bite! :)
