The summer time is so much more fun when you have kids. I never enjoyed the summertime much when I was an adolescent. I hated to sweat and the heat made me claustrophobic, summer clothes made me feel self conscious, and I loved the cooler times of the year. However, I have really enjoyed summer since I have had kids! I love being able to spend time outside with Lydia and do fun things that you don't get to do when it's just too cold.

GRANDPA'S SWING

| Swinging on Grandpa's swing is a favorite of Lydia's. She especially enjoys pushing her imaginary friends, Hallie and Chalkadowee (whom she refers to as her children), on this swing. She loves to swing high and she loves it when I swing her around in a circle and act as though she is chasing me as I run around in circles in front of her. She laughs so hard when we do this that sometimes I think she might pass out! |

| Lydia and William got the most out of the water I think. We got to go with Nic and her boys and a friend of Nic's and her children. Gabe and the other kids played mostly on the playground, but Lydia and William couldn't get enough of the water. |

| We had already dried and dressed by the time Daddy got home, but when he did arrive home, he put his swimming suit on and enlisted Lydia to spray him off with the hose. |
