My husband is definitely a very thoughtful and tender man. He is always thinking about what to do that might make me happy. Saturday evening 5.8.2010, he came home from work and could not wait for the next day to give me something for Mother's Day. Lydia finally got to have the experience of greeting Daddy home from work. (Chris works from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. most nights. He recently found someone who would trade shifts with him so that he could come to all three hours of church with us. This change means that Chris will be working from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturdays and 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Sundays.) It was the cutest thing; she was completely typical, straight from a movie scene. She ran up to Daddy, calling his name and wrapped her arms around his neck. He gave her some flowers to bring to me and helped her carry across the room to me. Lydia loved the flowers she thought she was so special to be able to carry them to me. Chris then handed me a small bag. I opened the purple drawstring bag to find a beautiful string of fresh water pearls! I was completely surprised and I LOVE them.

The sun rose on Sunday morning more beautiful than it has for quite some time. We were able to sleep in and take our time getting ready for church. I had so fun picking some new dresses for Lydia! I was so excited to see her in one. Chris made us some delicious German pancakes for breakfast. I am so privileged and so honored to be a mommy and I adore my sweet Lydia as well as my husband.
Kayla is the greatest and watched Lydia
while Chris went to work and I had worked at a
viewing. The day was wonderful.
Doesn't this look delicious!? We had angel food
cake with strawberries and whipped cream! I
Love that stuff! Thanks Babe.
