Two Year Photos

Things I love about Lydia at two:
~It melts my heart to listen to her sing! Especially I Am a Child of God, Teach Me to Walk in the Light, Twinkle Twinkle Littler Star, Puff the Magic Dragon, Awake are some of my favorites.
~I love that I only have to buy you diapers to sleep in! And I love your cute little bum in panties.
~I love hearing you learn how to count....even when it's backwards! Although you can count backward from 9-0, when you're going to throw something, it usually goes something like this: "2. 1. 0. 9. 8!" Throw! ..and sometimes you tack on 7.
~The way you say, "Thank you" is precious.
~When we're trying to say bed time prayers and for some reason you like stall us by trying to name everything in sight. "Couch.....and.....bear....and...'nother couch.....and....bed...and stroller....and....toys...and...." on and on.
~you Love RICE! which is funny because I remember reading in my baby book that I loved rice!
~You still ask for milk every morning.
~It amazes me how much you learn so quickly! You know all of your colors and most numbers 1-10 and even some letters (you can say your ABCs, but associate only a few letters).
~I love when I brush your teeth every night and you say, "What's IN there!?" referring to her teeth. (If any one has trouble getting your kids to let you brush their teeth, try this trick: Pretend to actually see the food that they have eaten throughout the day and brush it out so that the teeth are all clean. It has worked Wonderfully for Lydia!)
~I love that you bring your stories and toys to life. (picking the berries that are on the bush in the picture of a story, holding hands with your princesses and complimenting them on their cute dresses, dancing with your baby and giving her rides on bike, train, and stroller, and reading to her)
~You love "hiding". It's cute to see you try so hard to be unseen.
~It was so cute the other day, you were playing in the kitchen while I was making dinner, and I realized that you were saying to your princesses: "What does....a lion say? ....ROAR.....What does.....a chicken say?.....Bawk Bawk Bawk (flapping your arms even)..." and so on. It was so cute, it made me laugh.
~I have had a cold sore on my lip for the past couple of days and it was so cute when you first noticed it, you asked me if I wanted a bandaid on my mouth.
~I don't know where you learned it, but sometimes when you are writing with a pen and paper, you'll say, "Brindy Bennett" as you attempt to write my name...You'll also say, "Write-a-name." So we'll help you write your name.
~I love, love your many facial expressions!
~It's so fun to hear you say new things constantly! Some of my favorites are:
"Brindy Bennett"
"What ya doin?"
"Makin Dinner."
"Thank you" "Your Welcome"
"Ga Morning"
"Lips" (referring to chapstick)
"Peek-a-Doo"
"OH Yummy!"
"Hands-a dirty!"
"Slippy!" (slippery)
"Bidges" (London Bridges Falling Down)
"A drink-a water."
"hmmm lets see."
"Cute! I love it!"
~I love it when you have to go potty and as we leave for the bathroom you yell good-bye to everything in sight! ("Good-bye Daddy! Good-Bye plate! Good-bye water! Good-Bye Cinderella!")

...IN OTHER WORDS, WE LOVE JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU!!

Gotta love the intrigue of the nose holes! Her cold which includes a constant stuffy or runny nose has heightened her interest in said holes....

The sunday before her birthday was a beautiful day! We went out for a walk together as a family and it was so much fun! Oh how I long for the day that Chris will have sundays and evenings off so we can do these things more often!
It was so much easier trying to take pictures of Lydia with Chris there to help me too! I think I got several great ones! She was so fun and being so good! I took her out the next day, her birthday, for just a few more with the balloon and was so bummed that the there was a wind in the air so the balloons would NOT fly straight. Oh well. The pictures will serve their purpose, will definitely help me to remember her cute little personality at this stage of her life!

awesome photos......you have some very good ones with beautiful colors and situations. Course it doesn't hurt to have such a gorgeous little model to work with either. Very, very good!!!!
Would you consider taking my family's pictures some nice spring Saturday or are you just too busy with school and life right now? I want some new family pics but am too poor to pay a photographer. But I would love to tend Lydia and have you guys come to dinner etc. to pay you for your time in kind.
