Happy Halloween

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
2010
LYDIA:WITCH, BRINDY:WITCH, CHRIS:NA

We have had a fun Halloween this year. Lydia was much more into it and LOVED trick-or-treating! She would say 'trick or trick' so I don't know how exactly she got all the treats that she did!
We both missed Chris very much and continue to look forward to the day when we will get to be with him in the evenings and weekends.

We had such a fun time doing a little at home, make shift, photo shoot!

Carvin our Pumpkins. Lydia was happy to help us clean the pumpkins with a rag, but she wanted nothing to do with getting her hands dirty!

Our Finished products.
We got to carve our pumpkins with Chris on Saturday morning! It was very different carving pumpkins first thing in the morning! It felt a little strange since we are so accustomed to doing it in the evenings when it's dark. But here are our pumpkins. I carved the graveyard, Chris did the Witch and the Cinderella one for Lydia. She loved picking a pumpkin out at the store and her final product Princess pumpkin, but she did not enjoy scooping out the insides!

Lydia helped me make cupcakes for the cake walk at the Trunk-Or-Treat....

...well sorta.... Good thing I had a separate, clean, Mommy only pan.

She's such a happy girl...she doesn't make a very good witch, but she sure does make a cute one! I think she really liked her costume. Even my homemade hat that would not stay on her head! She would get so disappointed when it would fall off. She says "shoot" now and it is pretty cute. I don't know if I should think that, but it really is cute if you heard it. She was so cute with her hat and her broom too. She still sings, "Mean Ol Wih. HAT..." I don't know how else to type that to adequately record how she sings that song. It's so cute.

The Spanish Fork 1st Ward Trunk-Or-Treat. Lydia had a ball this year and it made it fun for me. She didn't really get into all the little carnival type games that they had for the kids (she's still quite young for those), but she LOVED the freedom of running around in the gym with all of the other little kids in funny costumes! She and Holly (Snow White) stuck together the whole night. They were so cute. Lydia and Holly ( a little girl in our ward, Chris actually works with Holly's grandpa) have made quite a friendship. They play so well together in nursery, I think they help each other be brave.

(The picture in the middle, right above is Lydia participating in her first cake walk....before long she had had enough of walking around in a circle while some perfectly good dancing music was playing. She broke free and busted her moves in the center. She's my little dancer and I love it!
We came home and did a little trick-or-treating just to our neighbors. Did our fun little photo shoot and changed out of our costumes. We had a fun time.

We got to go to Tyler's birthday party at Pirate Island Pizza on Friday night. I was the only adult that dressed up Thank you very much! Lydia had a great time there. She was SO excited when I told her that we were going to have pizza. And then got even MORE excited when I told her we were going to see Tyler and Zoey! She just loves them! We had a great time there playing on the little playground and in the arcade. Lydia could not get over the little carousel there. It consisted of a Lion, Zebra, and Elephant. She loved it! I forgot my camera for this event so we have no pictures, but memories will suffice.
