We went to Auntie Karen's house on the 5th of September for a big family dinner. Since we didn't have school the next day for Labor Day we decided to try to go somewhere we normally wouldn't get to. We were already up north so we decided to spend the morning at the Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy. We've been wanting to take Lydia for a while now. It was a perfect activity! Lydia loved it. We loved it. We weren't rushed. Made it out in good time so Chris still had time to have lunch with me before he went to work. It's one of those things that worked out so great, you second guess whether it was real.
She's Drivin the Boat! I thought she'd go crazy over all the buttons she could push, but she just wanted the steering wheel.
We couldn't use the flash on the octopus so this picture is pretty dark. But if you look closely you'll see the creepy looking octopus. What a weird animal! Ewww! It's like the "spider" of the ocean.
Lydia really enjoyed seeing all of the fish in the bright tanks. It was cute to watch her make kissy faces and point and really get into it.
Lydia enjoyed touching the water, but the sting rays were too far down for her to reach. Chris and I touched them though. Boy are they slimy little dudes!
Mr. Turtle!~The lady said that he had "Bubble Butt Syndrome" haha! He couldn't survive in the water because this syndrome prevented him from being able to submerge completely.
The penguins were so fun to watch! They were so active! They were jumping in and out of the water and swimming and waddling around like penguins do! It was so fun. I don't ever think I've see them active whenever we're at the zoo.
This alligator was so funny. It was just hanging on the branch of the tree. Lydia starting singing the "SNAP that monkey right out of the tree" song. It was cute.
