Autumn Time!

Autumn Time

It inches its way down branches of green
Beautiful Autumn
Breathe in the grand scene.
It penetrates senses; touch, sight, smell, and hear;
Cool, color, fresh, crunch.
Best time of the year!
It crawls through the air; the cool, crisp Autumn breeze;
Chasing Summer heat,
Out comes the long sleeves!
It flows through the bosom, the feel of the air.
It touches the heart,
Fond mem'ries are shared.
It creeps upon us transforming the glow,
from Summery green,
to Autumn yellow.
It seeps into view. Summer color fled.
The quaking leaves,
overtaken with red.
It fills the air we breathe, fresh apples and pie,
Soil and harvest,
Our lungs are purified.
The smell of the chill, and of the wet leaves,
of pumpkins and cider;
Fresh smells we receive.
It fades into our ears, the happy sounds of fall.
Children back to school,
And cheers for football.
The sounds of the season, we love every one.
The crunch of the leaves,
And giggles of family fun.
The spirit surrounds us; bonfires and sweaters,
Cool air and bright colors,
What else could be better?

She's all ready! Let's Go!

I was desperate to take advantage of the beautiful weather and my favorite time of the year because it always goes by so quickly. We packed up our little family early Monday morning and went driving up through Payson Canyon for a hike. We had a great time and it was absolutely gorgeous. Lydia loved it! She got tired at the end, but that's understandable, we were out hiking for quite a while.

Happy Autumn!
