Yesterday was a beautiful day. I not only got the chance to celebrate and thank MY mother and other mothers and women in my life, but I also got to ponder about the blessings I have recently been given in becoming a Mother myself.
It was wonderful just to think about how wonderful it is to have the chance to get to know one of Heavenly Father's most precious spirits through carrying her and nurturing her inside of my own body and then providing for all of her needs and enjoying her growth after she has been born. We love watching every accomplishment she makes. She can now stand up on her legs for a few seconds maybe minutes sometimes....holding our hands of course, she can hold her own head up for the most part, she smiles and laughs all the time, she sleeps from about 9 or 10 until 8 in the morning, she has found how to bring herself comfort when going to sleep...through her thumb, she focuses so well on objects and faces, she is learning how to use her hands, she talks and makes adorable cooing sounds, when we sit and read scriptures or stories to her she likes to make sounds with her voice too, she is trying to roll over from her back to her tummy, and she is becoming the center of our world! :) Her personality is growing and developing and coming out more every day and I am so happy that I get to be there to help her and to watch her become the woman that she is intended to be and to help remind her where she came from and who she is. I love her sweet little presence and her spirit just beams through her eyes and her smile. There really is nothing that can ever compare to being a mother.
My Beautiful gifts for Mother's Day, Lydia and some roses Chris gave me. (He also gave me some chocolate, but I ate it! before I could take a picture of it.)
In primary the kids made some flowers for their mothers from a tracing of their hands. I wanted to remember my first Mother's Day too so I traced Lydia's little hand and made a flower out of it from her for me! It is really cute. Chris had to leave for work right after church, but his brother was very kind to invite me over to spend dinner and the evening with his family. It was a great day.
Here's just a few more pictures from the day.

And what a beautiful Mom you are. You passed on that beauty to Lydia (Chris might have added some of his good looks too!!) She is so darn CUTE...I can't wait to see her again It is so fun to see you as a Mom. You are doing great!! I love you with all my heart.
Man she is really growing and progressing quickly. I can't believe how well she sleeps during the night! Peyton has acid reflux and has been having a really tough time. it's so sad. She is getting an xray test done on wednesday to make sure she has acid reflux and if she does she will finally get put on a medicine that works. Hopefully she'll start sleeping and eating better. It is so hearbreaking. Happy late mothers day. You are a great mommy!
