Lydia's Blessing and the Greatest Birthday Ever

We gave Lydia her name and blessing yesterday. It was absolutely wonderful. It was a beautiful blessing and I am so grateful that Chris was able to give it to her. Lydia looked gorgeous and she was perfect the whole day. I loved getting her all dressed and ready yesterday morning because I could feel her little spirit shining and I could sense her happiness. She was in such a good mood all morning as we gave her a bath and put her in her little white dress, she was content and smiling more than I have ever seen her smile so far. It was a really neat experience for me. She knew that it was a special day for her. We had so many family come and support us, it was really special. My dad flew out from Virginia as well as my older sister, Nicolette, and her little boy. My sister Marcella and her family came down from Idaho, as well as my sister Becky. My brother and his family were there from Nephi. My Aunt Karen came down from Salt Lake, and so did my Aunt Launa and Uncle Richard and my Grandma. My cousins Bryce, and Cory and their families were able to come too! It was so fun to have everyone together. Chris's parents were able to come up from Holden as well as his Grandma. Chris's sister Kayla was there and his brother Matthew and his family. His sister Kimberly and her family came up from Hinckley and one of his cousins was there too. It was a very fun day and so great to be together as family. That was more than I could have asked for for my birthday! :)

We really would have liked the weather to be nicer so that we could enjoy the outdoors, but it seems as though Lydia likes the snow. The day she was born was SNOWY SNOWY SNOWY and the day she was blessed was COLD and SNOWY! It was a perfect day otherwise though. We were able to have a luncheon at the Orem Institute Building which worked out perfectly because we had close to 45 people there, 17 of which were children! They were able to run and play with each other so well and we had plenty of room. It was absolutely wonderful. We had so much fun being together with family and friends and I am so grateful for all of the help and support that was shown and given. It really made me feel loved and I appreciated it all so much more than they will ever know. It was a great Birthday party....although I know it wasn't for me.

I'm going to have to get some more pictures from some others who were there because I was not able to take very many. But here is what we have of the special day.

Our little darling all dressed in white. It was a beautiful outfit from her Grandma Bennett.

Ah she looks precious! Sorry we couldn't make it, Ary was sick and we didn't want her getting worse with the cold weather.
