Just some Musing....

Recently I have had to ask myself if I am really in Utah, I mean, is it REALLY supposed to rain this much in Utah!? I don't think I would survive in Washington or Oregon. I love a good thunderstorm, but this rain has got to go!

Despite the gloomy weather I have been trying my best to carry the sunshine-y weather inside me! For example, yesterday, as I was walking around campus, with sopping wet shoes (which undoubtedly means, dripping wet socks...). I came to a dilemma: A BIG puddle! What was I to do? Take a detour and walk around it? no. Prance through it in an effort to avoid getting my already soaked freezing little toesies more ....more what? They were already soaked! So no, I was doing no prancing! I chuckled to myself as I had this internal reasoning session and stomped the biggest stomp I could muster through the puddle. If I had to go through it, I was going to make it good! As I walked away, I couldn't help but giggle, thinking of how liberated I felt...and how silly I must have looked.

As I rode home on the bus today, in between reading my text book (a.k.a. trying to keep my eyes open in between my head nodding), I peered out the window at the ever so wet landscape. I looked up into those huge gray rain clouds that had overstayed their welcome, and just as I was going to look away, wishing for some spring time sunshine, I spotted a tiny piece of blue sky! YES! There is hope I cheered inside! haha~I never realized how pretty a bright blue sky is until it has been missing for about a week! ...or more, since winter just doesn't want to leave...

Yesterday, I got off the bus at campus, walked inside and bought me a cute red..kind of pinkish-red actually, umbrella. For the rest of the day, every time I walked past a window where I could see my reflection, I twirled my umbrella and smiled.
