We regret that we could only stay one night up at the Bear Lake Reunion this year, but we are happy that we were even able to go that much. This Reunion has been going on for as long as I can remember! It started with the Hutchison family which is my Grandpa's grandmother's family! (On my mom's side). We used to go every year I think...until we moved to Missouri (I was eight). So I don't remember a whole lot about it besides what we have from home videos. It was fun to meet up with some cousins and my Grandma and Grandpa. They are such great people and it is always fun to reunite and reminisce, play games, and joke, even if it is for only one night....

We had a great time in our one night stay! We set up the tent, went straight down to the lake. It was much warmer than I ever remember it being! It was actually quite pleasant. Then we came back for dinner and played around for a couple of hours. Lydia went right to sleep in her pack and play in our tent and so we were free to play some games with the fam. It was great. The next day, we took down our tent and enjoyed some more time with family. Lydia made a cute little cup for the Reunion Kids Craft. Then Chris and I went out on the jet skis. It was a blast! The funny thing was that neither of us had fallen in or anything until we were just drifting kind of near the shore in an effort to spot our family on the beach and all of a sudden, we tipped over! It was hilarious! We came back to shore, changed our clothes and had to head out on our way. Short and sweet, it was a little trip to remember.

Lydia's favorite things to do at the reunion was run around the campground (mostly playing with the brooms...) and ride these tricycles around! She could not stay off of them. She loved playing with Jordan and Madison too. She loved pushing them around on the tricycles.

I had forgotten about all of the tiny seashells that line the beach. It is funny to me the things you don't think you remember until all of a sudden you find it hidden somewhere in your memory....!

We went down to the Lake one more time before we left. The first day was the cutest. Lydia did great, but I had accidentally left the battery for the camera in the car... so these are the only pictures I have of Lydia's first visit to the Bear Lake.

Evening games are always the best when family gets together! We played Farkle and Dirty on Your Neighbor. The tent behind us was known as the "Pinnacle Tent" I guess. That's a big deal at the Bear Lake Reunion.

So Brindy failed to mention that she was petrified of the water. Every little twig and bubble sent her straight into my arms, which I loved. And I think the game is peeknuckle.

We love to play Farkle but how do you play Dirty on Your Neighbor? Is that the peeknuckle that Chris is talking about? I'd like the directions for that one. Will you send it to me? peppy@q.com. Miss your parents--do they have plans to come to AZ again, ever? Have fun on your upcoming trip--I hear Lisa is planning on hooking up with you sometime.
