I just wanted to write this down really quickly because it's making me laugh. Why not write it down so we can remember it and laugh again another day by reading it?
We have recently moved to Spanish Fork, UT because we were offered a unique job opportunity. We live in a house next to a Funeral Home. One of our responsibilities is to answer the telephones after hours. This means that when someone passes away late in the evening, we are sometimes the family's first contacts. Tonight we received a "First Call" and Chris was home and available to accompany the Funeral Director in picking up the deceased. He is not required to do this, however, it gives us bonuses whenever he does accompany them.
We called the Funeral Director on call and informed him of the "First Call" and he asked if Chris wanted to go with him, Chris agreed. We were folding laundry as we waited for the Funeral Director to come and pick Chris up. Soon there was a honk outside our house and Chris said, "See ya, hun." and left. But he came rushing back in in his blue t-shirt and hiking shorts, laughing as he hustled around the house. "He's all dressed up!" he said. We both just started laughing. Now that I think about it, it makes sense that the family probably wouldn't be too impressed if a couple young guys in shorts and t-shirts came to take away their father/brother/husband who had just passed away.
I handed him his white shirt that I had just got out of the wash. He put a tie on and some pants and was heading out the door. Kissed me and then stopped before he reached the door, reached down his pants with a bewildered look on his face and pulls out a loose pair of garment bottoms! They must have been stuck inside his pant leg from the wash. We both started cracking up with laughter simply because it was so unexpected, he handed them to me and rushed out the door. As I wait here for him to come back, I hope there's not a bra in his sock....

That's way funny. I could picture it as well. I wish I could have been there.
That is so funny... I guess that's part of respecting the dead.
We miss you...
