Temple Square with Palmyra Young Women

I have had the privilege of serving the Young Women of the Palmyra ward for this past year. It has been such a learning experience for me and has really helped me to understand Heavenly Father's plan much better. It was so intimidating for me at first and I would come home with a weary heart thinking that there was no way I could serve them like they deserved. After speaking with some of my old Young women leaders, I realized that the most important thing that young women need is to be loved and cared about and those are two things that I did full heartedly. I love the young women so much and I hope that they know how much I care about and pray for them. They are wonderful girls and I know that they carry much heavier burdens than I ever did. They are strong. I was hoping that I could share my testimony with them in Young Women's before I left, but we ran out of time. I just want them to know that I know the truth of this church. I know that our Savior loves them so much, just as he does me. He is there for them at any time and He wants to help them so much. I am so proud to be carrying a daughter of God right now and I was frightened for her at first. Our world is becoming so wicked and I wanted so badly for her to be in a safe world where she would not be in danger. I am so thankful for these young women. They have shown to me that the youth are strong and that they know right from wrong and they know what is important. I feel so comforted knowing that these are the leaders of my little girl. These girls are who will be there for my daughter when I cannot be. I love these young women and I know that they truly are Heavenly Father's jewels and daughters!

Any way, here are some pictures from my last activity with them at Temple Square.
Such beautiful girls. I'm going to miss them a lot.
(top row: Tiffany Oldham (beehive advisor), Rachel Bushman (camp director and personal progress advisor), Angie Hansen (young women president), Melanie Berry (laurel advisor), Alli Stewart (first counselor), Nikki Argyle (secretary), second row: me, Lacey Thomas, Leorah Malone, Mikeanne Hone, Emily Barrington, Breanne Hone, Madilyn Money, Cassandra Hansen, third row: Samantha Batty, Cheyanne Talbot, and the squating row: Melissa Rogers (mia maid advisor), Kristen Blunck, Tiffany Binks, Shawnee Argyle, Sadie Ethington

Here's the Beautiful, Bouncing, Bubbly Beehives!

Tiffany Oldham is their advisor and I love her. She has taught me so much. She is an awesome leader and the girls all love her so much. She is also pregnant; her little boy is due to come around the end of January/beginning of February! It's been fun to have some "sisters" to relate to and learn from as I have enjoyed my first pregnancy also. There are actually FOUR of us in the Young Women's who were pregnant. I was getting so excited to be able to have others to learn with as my baby was born. They are all so wonderful and great friends. Alli Stewart and Melissa Rogers are the other two who are expecting, they serve in the Mia Maids. They are all so fun and I wish Chris and I were in a better situation to stay here in this ward. The whole presidency is just GREAT and I am sad to leave.

The men that were so daring and generous to come along. (They were mocking all of us girly girls there with hugs and cheesy grins.)

My Chris (although Sammy Batty would like to disagree) and I. I really am getting large with child :) I can barely zip up my coat! Sammy pretty much fell in love with Chris that night. She told me on the way home that I was fired from being Chris's girlfriend because she was now!

It was a chilly and crowded but Beautiful night.

Thanks so much Brindy! I would definitely love to take you up on that! I promise, I'm okay though. Sometimes as a mom you just have days where you just want a break. Believe me, you'll know soon enough! :) And if YOU ever need a break just let me know! It's not that bad though, for all of the stressful moments you have, there will be a million wonderful ones!
