We went to Tuacahn, which is an outdoor theatre. It was really neat because it was a beautiful night, the skies were clear and we could see the stars and the moon while we watched the play. The back drop was real desert red rock and it was really neat. We saw Les Miserables. It was great. Chris said the music was a little annoying, not the score, just the instruments that were used at that theatre. But we had a great time.
Then we went to a hotel where Chris reserved a suite for us. That was really fun! Our room was huge and all decked out. It was fun. They brought breakfast to our room the next morning and it was wonderful to just sleep in and relax and be together.
On Wednesday morning we went through a session at the St. George Temple. That was wonderful because the last time Chris was at that temple was when his parents were sealed to his older brother and sister. He was about five years old. It was a great experience to remember our covenants and renew our devotion and remember that special day two years ago when we were sealed to each other for time and all eternity.
After that we went and actually got a new phone. We had been needing to get an upgrade, and we had forgotten our phone charger for this trip so our phone was dead and we needed a phone to call family and make arrangements for the night so we just decided to go get our upgrade then! :)After that we headed to lunch at In and Out and changed our clothes in the bathroom! ha ha that was kinda funny. Then we were off to Zion's National Park.
It was beautiful. We drove through the long tunnel and then realized that it was taking us out of the park and so we turned around and drove back through it and went to the visitor's center. We took the shuttle up through the canyon and stopped for, what we though would be a nice short little hike. It was kind of getting dusk and we knew we would have to hurry before it got dark. Well we didn't hurry quite fast enough. We ended up hiking the whole second half of the hike by moonlight. Thank goodness the moon was so full and bright because I was very spooked as it was, and if it would have been darker...well I would have been much more scared! :) After I got over the fear a little bit, Chris started singing silly songs and some church songs to ease the mood, I started to realize how romantic this situation really kind of was. ha ha So we finally got back to the shuttle around 9:00 p.m.
We got back to our car and headed out for Brindy's cousins the Whitehead's house. They live in Cedar City. We got there around 10:00, they were so nice and gave us steak and ice cream! It was great after our hike. We played a quick game with them and were all tuckered out for bed. We went to our room and found that Shari had decorated our bed with pink candies and baby girl things! It was so fun. It made us both get all excited all over again for the news that we had just received about our baby. We are so happy and we are grateful to Shari and the Whiteheads for their hospitality and kindness.
We planned on leaving kind of early the next morning to spend some more time in Zion's but we enjoyed sleeping in a little bit and then going to the Kolob section of Zion's park. We went on a little hike there and had a great time! After we finished we headed for home, stopping to visit family all the way. We got to see Chris's Aunt and Uncle, his grandma, his parents and then Brindy's brother and sister-in-law and their family. It was a great trip and we enjoyed every bit of the time together!

What a fun anniversary!! We just went to Les Miserables too a couple Sat. ago, but it was freezing cold when we went!! But we absolutely loved it!! Definitely worth it!! Congratulations on two years!!
What a fun trip. Thanks for sharing it with us. I remember hiking in Zions with all you kids and Rachel(4) singing "A whole New World" the whole time. I'm glad you could get away. What great memories you are making. You haven't had much luck with Camaras. Remember the camara you left at Walmart and Rachel's volleyball coach found it and recognized her in the photo's & brought it to her!!
