I think this one is my favorite. It's of the side of her face. So if you look, you can see her forehead, her eye and her little nose, her lips and chin and then the white thing below her chin (it's kind of to the left of) is her arm. The radiologist told us something to help us identify things, she said the solid white is bone, the black is fluid and the stuff in between is exactly that...skin and muscle.
It may help if you kind of squint your eyes. This first one on the left is her face almost from the front. The middle is her feet. And the end one is her little bum. The black in between the legs is what tells us that it is a girl because black is just fluid...amniotic fluid. Poor girl, mommy's already embarrassing her!
It was so fun to see our baby up on that screen. I was so happy to hear that she is healthy and growing right on schedule. The radiologist said that her heart couldn't look better, her brain couldn't look better, my measurements were perfectly on schedule, and so was our baby's. It was a special day for us. Chris and I celebrated our two year anniversary by getting a peek at our little girl for the first time. It was amazing to watch her move, we even got to see her mouth open and close! Chris was so cute. The radiologist kept saying how cute he was because he was just so excited and so into it. She couldn't tell the gender for the longest time because the baby was just crouched up in a little ball almost, its legs were crossed and its hands were up next to its ears. She looked for a long time and even started pushing on my stomach in an effort to make the baby move or change position. She finally took the machine off and told me to start pushing on my stomach to try and get her to move. I felt silly, but Chris went at it. He pretty much started kneading my stomach! After a few minutes Chris asked if he could excuse himself to use the restroom. So when he left the room, the radiologist put the machine back on and when she found the right spot, our baby decided she would show us. So when Chris came back the radiologist said, "Okay this is where you want to look, and there's not much there, if that tells you anything. Yep you have a little girl. She sure is a proper little thing, all she needed was for daddy to leave the room!"
