We went to church and it was great once again, we were early and found good seats. Brindy and another girl in our ward were to be singing in sacrament meeting and so she was nervous about that all morning. So the speakers start speaking and the man conducting the meeting never introduced Brindy and this other girl to sing. So we just sat and waited thinking they must have it under control....until the last speaker is done speaking and she still hadn't sang yet. Finally the woman playing the piano for us...since the organ was locked that day and no one could figure out how to open it! Ha ha...any way she leaned forward and whispered to the bishopric about the musical number...Brindy's sitting there just thinking, "No..it's fine we don't have to sing!" The man conducting just turned bright red and got up and said, "Oh..I'm sorry I didn't realize we had a musical number for today.. umm..we're going to have a song by Brindy Bennett and ...who?...Elizabether?" the other girl's name was Melanie! After several people whispering to him who it was, he corrected himself and we had to go up there and just sing....it was pretty embarrassing. Actually it was more funny than embarrassing. Our song wasn't so bad....at least.
Our sacrament meeting ended up being 20 minutes short and so the bishopric decided to just shorten the rest of our meetings...so we got out of church 20 minutes early. That was kind of nice. We were short on numbers due to Memorial Day any way.
When Brindy got to Young Women's, there were NO other leaders there. She is the secretary and so she doesn't prepare any lessons. So she just improvised until finally two other leaders showed up..one of who had the lesson prepared! So that turned out just fine.
As that mess was soaking up Brindy decided she should probably lend
her hand in the kitchen now. She picked up the grill to move it so she
could clean the cupboards off and the grease catcher under it
dropped and spilled all down the front of Brindy and all over the
floor. We didn't get a picture of her clothes with the grease on it, but this
is the mess she made. She started tearing up because of the
frustration of the day and also because grease is not easy
to get out of clothes and she was wearing some of her newer pants
that she really liked. Chris stayed calm though and reassured it
was going to be okay. Chris stuck her clothes straight in the
washer...the stains came out some what. There are still a few
grease spots left.
We decided to clean it up and just leave it. We sat down and watched Anne of Green Gables. That always seems to relieve stress....according to Brindy. :) Afterward Brindy gave Chris a hug and told him that he was the love of her life....as Chris responded, "Ah the love of my life." Brindy was okay until she realized that he had just picked up a cookie and was actually talking to it! That resulted in his cookie being shoved in his face and then of course it turned into a big cookie fight. Chris took Brindy's hair into it and that was gross....but it was actually a lot of fun and we laughed really hard!

Oh Brindy!! That is terrible! I had the same thing happen to me in Young Women's yesterday. Hey, you can get grease stains out with Thoro cleaner. Hope today is better!!!
Wow Brindy that was hilarious! It may not have seen at the time but I am sure you will always look back on these times and start cracking up!
