Nephew Gabe's Baby Blessing

We had a wonderful vacation to Virginia! It was so nice to see family and to see our little nephew for the first time. He is adorable! He just grins so much and it makes you so happy to see the light in his eyes and to see the love that he has for life even at two months old.

Justin and Jenny were able to come out also. That made just one big party! We were all together except for one important family...the Rich's who we missed very much. It was a great time to be with sisters and brothers and our little niece and nephews. We went to the National Zoo one day. It rained most of the day...well drizzled...but it was warm and kind of nice to have the cloud coverage. When we got back to the car it really started to come down hard so that worked out pretty well, we left just in time.

We played ultimate frisbee, dodge ball, and SPEED all in one night at the church. We all enjoyed the exercise and the nice weather and the family time.

Chris took a history class this last semester and so he really wanted to see some of the historic sites while we were out there so we went to the Bull Run Battlefield. It was a very cold and wet day, but it was fun to pay tribute and respect to those men who fought so courageously. We got to see some pretty neat things in the visitor's center too.

The best part was to spend time with family and to spend Mother's Day celebrating motherhood in all it's forms (Happy Mother's Day Mom - We love you!), playing games almost all night almost every night!, and Mom's GREAT food! That is always fun...and Dad's spaghetti too! It was hard to come home, we miss the good food. We pretty much miss everything!

The fresh air of Virginia is also very much Missed. All that green and fresh, clean air was like manna to our lungs. We got to go on a beautiful drive one day. Pretty much any where you drive in Virginia looks almost like this. These are just some snaps Brindy shot just holding the camera out of the back window, not even looking at what she was catching in the lens, since Chris, Becky and Brindy were the munchkin hide-a-aways in the back trunk so we could all ride together hee hee hee shhhhh! What a beautiful country!

Thanks everyone for the hospitality and for the Great time! WE MISS YOU!
